From the contributions section of your user profile, you can now view pending inventory and item creation submissions. The pending count is also more accurate as historical duplicate submissions are no longer included in the count.
A notice has been added to the top of orders placed with Stripe to make the time limit clearer. Payments made with Stripe must be captured within seven days of the payment being initiated.
Speed improvements have been made so that the delay between updating your inventory and it being available to be searched should never be more than 1 minute. There will also no longer be a several second delay accessing a store which has just had its inventory updated. Additionally you can now press the enter key on the order tracking ID submission box to submit it.
When viewing the inventory tab on a catalog item, or the WishList tab, there are now colour filters available for when you have many lots against a particular item.
The global cart feature has now been released which allows customers to easily place orders for complex groups of parts without using the Wishlist tool. If your store currently only has the quote shipping method, it may be a good idea to setup some shipping methods as the global cart only include stores that have calculated shipping. Additionally, notices are now shown for stores when there are overdue orders or quotes.
Stripe payments are now refunded automatically from the refund/cancellation forms. Additionally, you can manually capture a payment from the more actions drop down of an order.
Order and quote related emails are now regionalised to the customer/stores chosen language. Customers making quote requests will now also receive an e-mail confirmation of this.
The integration of Paypal for Standard Accounts has been improved so payments are taken during checkout, as opposed to after. This removes the possibility of customers placing orders without them being paid for. The customer experience has also been improved.
A rate limit has been applied to the API of 600 requests per minute. If you use a custom integration you may need to implement rate-limiting to prevent your code making more than 600 requests per minute.
Tracking advice on shipping methods has now been replaced by a carrier selection option where you can specify which carrier the shipping method is shipped with. This will then provide the customer with the appropriate link in their shipment e-mail and on the order screen. Please review your shipping methods to update the carriers.
The Minifigure creation page accessible from a sets inventory has been improved. Most of the Minifigure parts are now at the top, and you can also add ID numbers from the same page.
Further changes have been made to the catalogue editing form in relation to stickered and decorated parts. It's no longer necessary to include words like "with Sticker from Set xxx". Instead you can just include a description of the sticker, and the set number will be in a tag on the item.
Changes have been made to the payment methods so that stores would need to have at least 10 orders before setting up non-instant payment methods such as IBAN.
The custom item categories have been removed from the catalog browse due to their low sales, they are still visible within the stores that make use of custom items (comprised of lego parts) and within catalog search.
The wishlist updating form allows choosing which wishlists are included. A table view has been added to store browsing. Flags are now shown on user messages. The stickered part creation form now requires inputting the set the sticker is from, and automatically inserts it into the set. The order details screen shows if an item is currently in another outstanding order to help with picking.
A new block has been added to stores to show items that are frequently bought together, this is especially useful for doors/windows and wheels/tyres. Additionally there is a new inventory setting to hide public notes incase these are used to store inventory locations.
The ONR information on an order has been updated to be based on when a store reports an order has been refunded due to not arriving, as opposed to when the customer requests the status of their order.
Stores with a minimum order over the equivalent of £40 will no longer be shown on the wishlist magic tool/wishlist emails due to low order conversions with high minimum orders.
Brick Owl has teamed up with the folks at craftplicator.com so that Minecraft users can transform Minecraft creations directly into custom kits using LEGO bricks supplied from Brick Owl stores. Users of the service receive a link to a detailed building plan and a pre-populated Brick Owl shopping basket with all the required bricks, which they can then use to order in Brick Owl stores. We encourage Minecraft users to head on over to craftplicator.com and try it out.
Changes have been made to the catalogue points system. Minifigure creation now receives 15 points rather than the 2 points for normal item creation. Lego item numbers now receive 5 points rather than the previous 1 point. The catalogue points display page has also been updated to highlight yearly contributors.
A basic personal collection feature has now been added to Brick Owl so you can keep track of your personal collection. Additionally tags and theme can now be removed on the item editing form.
