Adding Insurance ID number

May have asked for this before. I have a good number of insured orders, which I insure thru 3rd Party (Insure Post), its less than half the price of USPS.
At the moment I am using "private order note" not ideal, as I believe the customer may wish to see the information.

So would you please consider adding "Insurance number" or something similar in the Order Details box

    Why would your buyer want the insurance number? If there is something wrong they would come to you to fix it. I don't think th buyer could go the insurance company to do a claim, I guess you should do that.

    Correct, the shipper has to make the claim if something goes wrong. Most common practice is for the seller/shipper to take action towards the buyer/receiver right away, either send the lost parts/set again, or refund fully. After this the seller can make their claim with the USPS (or third party). This is part of customer service, and mandatory in a lot of EU countries. This means you might have to absorb a few claims, or could mean that you are out some money until the claim has be processed by USPS (or third party). I guess that is part of doing business.

    I love InsurePost, way cheaper than USPS, glad to see I'm not the only one who uses them!
