further explanation of wishlist notifies.

I need further detail about how notifications are made for items on buyers wishlists.
My problem is that when I manually add items using the "Sell" tab on that item's catalog page, the lot is created instantly with a qty 1 at "New" condition. I then change the qty, price and condition as necessary and the lot gets adjusted. However, what happens if the initially created New condition, qty 1 lot meets someone's criteria on their wishlist? Do they get the notification immediately, or is there some delay that allows me time to alter the lot before notifications are sent out? I only need a few seconds.

There is a time delay, a large enough one that it shouldn't ever be an issue in this scenario.
