I have a suggestion that as a store when you click shipped it asks you if you want to send an extra comment to the customer so that you don't have to send a message afterwards with these extra details!

  • do you mean a generic 'Your order is in the post' message, or a message specific to the order?

    I thought both were already possible.
  • Not against the suggestion, but only if there will be a setting to turn it on and off. Personally I don't need an extra click when marking an order as shipped.

    What kind of extra details do you want to to send?
  • Personally I would like to add things like "Thank you for your patience" when an order takes more time than antecipated. Or some heads up of how the tracking works in different countries, and especially on difficult or busy times, like the ones we live but also during Christmas or Easter. Or "Your order includes the 2x 3001 red part you asked me afterwards" when a costumer asks me how to add a part to an order and I decide to add it for free. Etc. I know that I can message them but it would be nice to be able to customize the "Shipped " message.
