@Neil Dalby Due to insufficient air connections, the transport of mail over the Atlantic has become more complicated. Current transport capacities are lower than the volumes of received consignments. The USPS even sends part of its volume of shipments to Europe by ship. No wonder total transport time exceeds six weeks – "too long" has become a new normal. I agree with Pikka and Oldfan, packages I sent from here (Netherlands) to the US have taken between 5 and 7 weeks to arrive. Destinations within Europa are faster, but also slower than normal.
