Image Priorities

I just wanted to post a quick note to say that we are currently adjusting the image priority for approximately 1100 user submitted images, where an existing Lego rendered images already exists. Previously, the Lego image took priority, but we have now changed this so that the user images will take priority, but we will mark the user submitted image as an alternate if appropriate. This will mean that you may see catalog images and catalog points fluctuating throughout today.

    The LEGO image will be the default alternate, or the user image will be the default alternate? Or is that a case-by-case determination? (I'm assuming this is for the parts and not the sets/boxes/instructions...or is it?)

    As we submit our images, should we continue to submit images as primary as we do today, and the system will determine whether it's an alternate or not? Or will the submission coding change to guide what you're looking for?

    This is done on a case-by-case basis, so you can just submit your image as normal, if it is better than the current image. We can then choose to switch that to an alternate if necessary.
