Missing Lot ID?

So since the first quarter is quickly coming to an end I am trying to get a jump on my numbers. I downloaded all of the parts I have sold since Jan-1 and have put them in order of Lot ID to easily identify multiple sales of the same item, BUT about 1/2 of the items don't have a lot ID.

How is that possible?

That would happen if the lot has been deleted since the order was made
