Closing/Resolving (Forum) Discussions

Just an idea...,

Shouldn't there be a way of closing/finalizing Forum Discussions?

This to prevent the same issue being brought up again and again and common/often asked questions don't "pollute" the forum?

I would imagine a system/moderator that would leave the question for 24 hrs after the last post/response and then answers with a standard answer (like see previous topics, see manual, see help etc...) and closes the discussion..., (discussion can still be found in forum archive)...

Any thoughts?

  • I can close discussions, but I find it seems dictatorish
  • Agreed..., if it is just you deciding about what goes and not. But isn't that the case now anyway?

Question then maybe is/should be.... how democratic/commercial is BrickOwl?(or do you want it to be?)

NB.: FYI it's the same to me.... :)
  • If it becomes necessary I don't have a problem with a forum moderator, but there's not much need at the moment. I don't see a need for a catalog administrator for now as I try to automate as much as possible.
  • Thanx for the clear (and fast) answer...,
Well thought out automation can in most cases certainly do the trick....,

As offered before if help/hands are needed feel free to ask..., (as I like BO a lot and would like to see it become THE lego venue)...(seems you might have a lot on your plate...).

NB.: (you can close this discussion from this side.... :))
