Minifigure Dimensions

Am I wrong in assuming that if all parts of a minifigure are known than the minfigure itself dimensions should be known? I'm looking at my missing data and this is the case for some, I thought the system calculated the dimensions in those cases.

    Unfortunately not as the system doesn’t know how they should be assembled. It does however copy dimensions from other figures that have the same inventory (even if they have differently decorated parts). It also does the weight from the inventory if all the parts have a weight.

    Unfortunately I sell my new minifigures unassembled, is it possible to have an approximation? I have entered those before in shipping dimensions and they were discarded. But surely something close that's agreed upon is better than nothing. It defaults all minifigures to a very high shipping rate.

    Entering the unassembled dimensions in the shipping dimensions field should be fine, I may have thought differently previously
