Train Base

The full train sets are a little beyond my budget for my train-loving nephew, but

plus a basic set looks doable.

What groups of parts would I have to order for him to have some train bases to build block trains on?

you need the wheel holders , wheels and axles , some train bases and some magnet buffers

and the bogie plates so the wheel assemblies turn on curved tracks and keep the magnets aligned.

You (or your nephew) will likely find the flexi tracks a pain, the Lone Ranger set has a full track with normal curves, and isn't **too** pricey, tho it doesn't have standard train base plates -maybe you could give him the track and train parts, buy the base plates you want, open a store here sell the rest

You could do the same with the other train sets too - they have the "normal" base plates

… That's how I ended up with almost 200,000 parts :O tho it was a "pirate ship" not a train that caused it!
