PayPal charges changed to 30p plus 2.9% from the 19th August :(

Really annoyed to find out that PayPal have changed in the UK to 30p per transaction plus a 2.9% for merchant sellers (which I don't know what it is but I never signed up to be a merchant seller)
just checked my latest order and they did take the extra 10p off.
Annoyed as this new fee only really helps for orders over £20 to £25.
They didn't even send out anything to tell us? I just found it out via an eBay group and as my orders are usually well under £20 then this is bad for smaller sellers with the additional extra 10p on each order.

I believe a merchant seller is anyone receiving money 'for goods and services' as opposed to 'friends and family'.

Take a look at paypal microtransactions, to save some on fees for orders under ~12€

They must have had a special deal with the UK or EU, that is what we've been paying all along in the US (in our currency, of course, $0.30 plus the percentage).

I will look into microtransactions and yes if you've been paying 30 cents in the us it equates to around 22 to 24p in the uk dependant on exchange rates so it's a bit more than what we usually had and our percentage was 3.4% so they have lowered it.
