Temporary store closure

Good afternoon all
Just a quick question - when I temporarily close my store for my holidays - can customers still place orders please?

    I don't think so. Your store doesn't appear in any lists of items for sale although I think people can access your (closed) store by clicking say on your name from a forum post and then through your store name. Here they will see a message saying the store is currently closed but you are free to look around. I suspect it may be possible to create carts but placing orders is probably not possible.
