Change an order (I am the seller) not possible?

Hi, as a new Brick Owl seller, I was wondering if it's possible to change an order (where I'm the seller).

There was a mixup with an order and the buyer and myself agreed to remove one item from the order. This would lower the shipping costs drastically. I see the option "Refund" and "Cancel", but can I just remove one item?

If it's not possible, what would be the best way to proceed:
a) refund the value of the item and difference in shipping costs?
b) cancel the order and ask the buyer to place it again (which I would like to avoid since I don't like asking the buyer for extra efforts; it's just not that customer friendly on my part)
