Dropped order minimum and copoun code promotion

There was a good discussion on the forum few days back about store minimum order. I decided to test reducing the store minimum to $1 to see what effect it have on my store. I will keep it as $1 for the rest of December and decide next year if I want to keep it low, or to get it back to $10. If you have small orders you wanted to place and could not do it, this is the time.

Also I had a copoun for 8% discount in my store, but it seems that putting this information on the top of my home page and in the forum was not visiable enough. None of the customers that ordered during November used the copoun.
I would love to hear if anybody have an idea how to better promote specials on the store.

I have the same problem I am offering 10% discount of all my mini figures customers were not using the coupon. They were ordering mini figs but I don't think they realized I was offering the discount.
It would be good to have something which is more visible to customers.
