Order Process flow

Hey Lawrence,

To reduce the clicks when processing order, I would find it useful (and hopefully also other sellers) to present a dialog box when "Processed" is clicked, in that dialog there would 2 inputs for the tracking and number & the feedback if not yet entered.
By default, sellers will be opt-out for that prompt but it would be something that can be turned on in the store/order settings.

  • If an optional "message customer" was on that modal also, I would be onboard. But to be honest, what is already there does work for me (so long as you don't click shipped)... my procedure is to hit processed when done filling and printing postage. I then email the customer the tracking info and a thank you for their order and leave feedback - closing it out with clicking shipped if hubby (his one and only Calibrick job) is heading out to the post office immediately after the order batch is filled.

    We'd have to train ourselves to also do any proactive refunds (e.g., missing parts) prior to hitting processed.

    I guess to play devil's advocate (to be clear though, I'm totally onboard with near anything that helps other sellers - I can retrain myself <s>), isn't all of this right on the top of the order board via the pull down menu? Or is the thought to reinforce good seller behaviors and better centralize the standard closeout functions? Not criticizing at all, just asking! :-)
