Ninja headgear sorted into wrong year of appearance

When I sort for minifig parts by year, the ninja baklava ( https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-balaclava-30177-88430-96034 ) appears in 1981 alongside such classics as the baseball cap and the motorcycle helmet. The bandanna I'm less sure about, but I know it appeared in Pirates before it did in Ninja Castle.

1998 is when the kabuto is listed ( https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-minifig-helmet-samurai-30175 ) and I'm pretty sure these two pieces of headwear came out at the same time.

    @NathanMousey Yes, 1998 is the official year of release. May have to do with some figs not being attached to sets and therefor not showing a year of release on them and triggering that odd discrepancy on the headgear. I've edited some sets so the figs will now be attached to them soon (when Admin approves), resolving the year on them, which might resolve the year of release of the headgear itself.
    Wait and see ;-)
