What is the appropriate amount of time before contacting a store?

Hello all, I'm Chris. I'm not really new to Brick Owl but I am new to the forums. I placed an ordered 8 days ago and it is still marked as 'payment received.' The store in question states that there is a 1-3 day dispatch time. So how much time would you fine people give before contact? Perhaps I have just become too accustomed to the excellent service the sellers offer on this site.

  • Hi Chris, I would say that without some form of communication from the store (either personally through a message, or on the store home page) to explain the delay, it might be worth getting in touch. This time of year maybe they're on holiday, although I would have thought they would have announced this. Is their feedback not great, and do they potentially have previous? Drop them a line - the worst outcome is you get no response, and in which case might be worth contacting Lawrence direct. Alternatively, you might at least get a response and a reason for the delay.

  • I apologise for the delay to your order, we have contacted the store and requested that they get in touch with you immediately, the store has been closed in the meantime.
  • It's honestly no problem, like I said, I wasn't sure what the correct amount of time was. But thank you for everything.
  • Maybe the seller had a personal emergency, if you've had good experiences with them before (I hope not, obviously...!!!).
  • I hope that's not the case either!
