I had a buyer place two orders to different shipping addresses. BrickOwl combined shipping on the order, this should not be allowed when the orders have different shipping addresses as I have to pay for shipping for each address.
I would agree with this suggestion if the shipping addresses were different but customers should be allowed to pay with multiple methods on different orders if needed.
You are correct, both orders had the same shipping address listed on BrickOwl. Different shipping addresses listed on PayPal. If either address changes the orders should not be able to be combined.
Lawrence, I really do appreciate your extremely quick response to my suggestion. However it happened on two of my orders so you might double check the setup.
Could you clarify what you mean when you say it happened on two of your orders? When I checked your account yesterday I saw two outstanding orders both with the same shipping and billing address which appears to be correct behaviour?
I think he means that the address did not change in Brickowl, but in Paypal the first order payment had one Paypal address and the combining order had a different Paypal payment address. Then there is the Paypal seller/buyer protection that states that you have to ship the item to the address that Paypal payment has in order to have that protection, so in a combined order with 2 different Paypal addresses you would have protection only for one of the payments and not both.
If the Brick Owl shipping address is changed, an order can't be combined. The PayPal address is shown for information purposes and doesn't have an effect of the shipping combination.

If the PayPal or the BrickOwl address changes the system should not allow combined shipping.
I can't find how to post a picture, so here is what happened:
