Need Notes or Instructions Box for PayPal Payments

When setting up PayPal as a payment method, there is no box for entering customized notes or instructions like there is when we set up non-PayPal payment methods. Instead, there is some pre-printed information that cannot be changed.

Please add a box where sellers can write notes or instructions to buyers who choose to pay via PayPal. Among other things, I want to remind buyers that their PayPal shipping address should match their BO shipping address, and that I will need their telephone number for larger insured orders paid via PayPal. I also want to mention that I reserve the right to decline PayPal payments (and require a different form of payment) from buyers with a history of excessive or premature PayPal claims, or on orders I reasonably deem to be high risk (e.g. a $1,000 order from a new zero feedback buyer in, say, Nigeria who claims to be a deposed or exiled prince).

That is now done. By the way, I do actually get the customers address from PayPal. I made the decision to use their address from Brick Owl instead, but I'm not sure on what is best. There is always a problem when a customer has two addresses to try and guess which they want to actually use.

It is my understanding that you are not seller protected if you don't use the Paypal address.

The buyer can always request that the order be mailed to a different address; then it is up to the seller to decide based on their experiences, order total, etc.

Thanks Admin! Since BO and its members are so new, and their addresses so recently entered by them when joining BO, the safer bet is that the BO address controls over any different PayPal address. The problem with this, however, is that sellers are not protected if they do not ship to the PayPal address. The notes box will help more buyers become aware and take care of this matter.
