just a thought as I continue my mailings, I am going to offer a discount (coupon) of 10% to those I send a message to, at the moment it will be "at my store", I have decided to do this rather than be more detailed in my mailings, being only positivistic.
What I thought might be nice is to be able to offer a discount at "these participating stores" - as we jointly have likely had a different customer base, it would be a double cross-over promotion - helping promote each other as well as our selves - and of course also for the Owl!
I have no idea HOW to implement this. What other web stores do is supply a coupon code, which can be redeemed at checkout, one idea IF it is possible would be that the generated coupon code would be good for one use at EACH of the particpating stores.
OR if not it would be nice to supply a coupon code anyway, just for use in my/your store, as at the moment I will have to either manually take off 10%
OR ask them to ask for a coupon - i've tried that and it doesn't do much good
Hope this makes sense !?
One idea might be that Admin generates the site wide promotion/incentive, and coupon code (say 10% off) sets the conditions (ie parts only, and total maximum if any) then stores can either select to participate or not. Those sort of coupons may well find their way to many "coupon sites"
What thinks thee? Folks LOVE coupons don't they!

Now quick Q on that: - if I issue a coupon code, is it a single use per unique visitor?
Is it possible to incorporate a "redeem by" date?
And would it be possible to also set it so that the same buyer could use it more than once?
Many thanks!
