Why are people asking for quotes?
I keep getting quote requests for very simple orders. My shipping rates are based on the weight of LEGO in the cart and these orders could easily check out automatically.
Are these customers unfamiliar with the system and want assurance the shipping is correct? Or is there something wrong in my store settings?
Just wondering whether other sellers also get quote requests where no manual work is needed.

You should check if you have covered all options for your buyers.
Besides that 'missing dimensions' are a crucial problem between 'letter mailers' and 'small packages', oftenly with a big pricedifference, so you should check your store to see if you need to fill dimension data. Buyers seeing a heavy cost (package, while it fits letter) are tempted to get a 'quote request'.
