I suggest being able to sell only parts which are properly named and pictured. This would make it safer for potential buyers, better for sellers (making a sell much more likely, because how often would one buy something unseen and not even knowing what it is!?) and hopefully speed up the process of getting proper names and pictures added to the catalogue.
There are still a lot of unnamed parts, which is probably to be expected for such a newly started effort as Brick Owl, but I was a bit surprised that these parts are also for sale, which seems not only pointless, but also slightly unprofessional.
Don't get me wrong, though, I think Brick Owl is a great effort so far, with a number of useful features not found elsewhere.

Due to recent alterations Brick Owl is making to it's catalog, unfortunately certain items and having to be renamed and recategorised, meaning a lot have ended up with no name or category, although we have many catalog contributors who are helping to fill in these gaps at the moment.
Hope that helps.
If you take a look at this forum post hopefully it should help explain a little;

and this post should help explain a little as to why the changes are being made;

Oh, I see. that's a shame. I heard about BL being sold, but I didn't know it had gone this far. It seems like I made the right decision to support Brick Owl instead.
As for item photos, these are being added by members and admin all the time, I also believe Brick Owl has recently very kindly been give permission by the owner of http://www.brickset.com/ to use some of their minifigure photographs which will be a great help.

> filled.
Yes, hopefully. I'm trying to help out as much as I can, but for many parts only the seller knows what it is, and I don't dare guessing as that might only mean more work for the administration.
