After much pondering today about ethics in general and how I was able to find what I thought were orphans with a BSX upload (it is the 29th after all) I had my own hopeful idea.
I was looking at the briktrack format and I saw no BL metadata, the .bsx seems to be dripping with it.
Could we have an upload with the .bti files?
My conscience would be clear with that thinking of the BL TOS and the "about" page on BrickStore.
I know it would not have remarks or anything, but it looks to have what I use and can work with it.
I have no issues with syncing in general, this could be an angle for some of those people developing their own stuff? Or me if I ever find someone within a hundred miles who knows what they are doing.

Thinking of following the BL TOS and using a file made with BrickStore here next month has my brain boggled where the lines are. Like does having a store there or not matter when it comes to taking "necessary actions", and who exactly are the actions taken against.
Now comes another problem, that is, assuming "they" could even take the members contributions - claim of © - which were all submitted with the understanding that they were for the benefit of the community and provided "open source" - If I was one of the big contributors - I would be taking action to protect my work.
Where exactly are they claiming ©? The USA, UK, or HK(China) - personally (this is very much an opinion) If they attempted to proceed in a US or UK court - can you see anyone giving a chinese company a chance? Given all the cloning and flagrant copyright violations that take place in China!
I am very surprised that no one there is even saying anything, unless they are oblivious to what's been going on!
There are some folks there who must have spent 100's of hours contributing - now unless they say anything - they will actually loose there rights in that work completely!

I know Legal wording can be broken apart to find holes but the intentions are what I try and go by.
As I read things they intend to limit all use of BL metadata given in site downloads or by (approved?) third party software from being used for commercial gain.
My whole stockroom (not for sale anywhere) and personal collection is managed with BrickStore. Bricklink just helped me make the lists, and thanks for that, but yes, I am feeling bullied they want to tell me what I can do with those lists to still play with them.
I will follow what I get are the TOS, but my quantities just may get quickly adjusted while I have one more day for free commercial gain with those lists.
