Ahh, never noticed you could sort by store icon before, buy like you say there does not seem to be any clear logic to how it sorts - doubt it's used much anyway
i'm thinking maybe its a combination of parts, processing and feedback, it seems when i get a lot of orders I move up the list, when it gets a little quieter I move down the list .. until i know better i'm using it as a guide i'm doing things right :)
I seem to be getting quite a few orders at present ( which is very nice ), but my position in the list doesn't really change, so I'm assuming everyone else is doing just as well which would explain the lack of movement.
... but .. weird one .. a shop I haven't noticed before jumped up the list quite a bit i think .. maybe they are doing exceptionally well.
Just wondering if there is any update on how this ordering is created @Lawrence
Your position changes based on the inputs as well, if you go further along the top section you can change by location, stock holding etc. Would be nice to have those options by country. We are always between 2nd and 3rd for largest stock range in UK but change the listing to list by country and we drop to second page. weird system.
if it was based on pageviews is this not open to abuse, i'm in no way saying this is happening btw .. but if all you had to do is open the browser on the correct shop and click around a few times, and this moves you up a list .. hopefully its based on store activity, open carts, sales, amount of stock etc etc
I agree, but with the technology available and a little bit of development experience, one could quite easily set up a app which will hit a site any number of times you wish, hands free so to speak.
I'm thinking it doesn't really matter that much where you are. Most people are using wishlists to find their pieces? Having the stock that people want is much more important than where you are on a list. IMHO.
@leopard37 maybe not, but this is also deciding on who are the popular sites on the brickowl home page, and if we knew how the list was collated, then maybe there are ways of affecting our own positions. i.e if it was based on feedback, then maybe asking your customers to complete feedback increases your position .. if stock, then add the 100,000 technic pins to increase stock levels .. etc etc etc

Juste my opinion, the list will have to take into account the contributors, without which no sales would be possible.
