Question About When I Update The Price In My Store

Say I decide to lower or adjust the price of a lot in my store. Does this price change automatically update when a customer has that particular item in their cart or does it remove the item and say it's not available anymore?

The price in the cart would get automatically updated for them

@lawrence How about the opposite (price adjusted to 'higher')? Same thing? Or does the price remain the same for buyers who have it in cart?
And what with temporary discounts % based?
