Dymo Labelprinter and Firefox 52 not working anymore.

Hi,

After upgrading firefox to version 52 I'm not able to print the addresslabels on the order page (Print label-button) anymore. Does anyone else has the same problem? And even more interesting did you solve the issue in Firefox 52?

I've had same problem too since firefox upgrade, have tried other browsers too. Not been able to find a way to work yet :-(

I've tried several browsers as well, without any luck. I use my printer also to print digital stamps. This site is able to print labels while using firefox (v52), so probably this site uses another feature for printing labels.

I would recommend downloading & installing a separate/older copy of Firefox for just order processing/labels until the issue is resolved. It's known that the latest FF will break certain stuff to be able to expand app loading functionality. FF should allow you the ability to install a separate instance... but Google is your friend to be sure, double-check what other people have done. may depend on your OS (Win7, 8 or 10... or OS X ... or Linux)

I was using Chrome till they stopped supporting NPAPI. That's why I switched to Firefox. This browser was working fine, till this weekend the latest update (v52) was installed. The browsers IE, Edge, chrome and Firefox do not print the addresslabels anymore in BO. As mentioned above Firefox is able to print my digital stamps, so there are possibilities to make this working again in Firefox (v52).

Hi Lawrence, I really appreciate this. This addresslabel printing button was really handy! Much better than the copy, paste option to the Dymo printing software....

That's now been updated to use the "DYMO Label Web Service" so it should work cross browser. You will probably need to update your local dymo software. You will need at least version 8.5.3.

Is this something that supports Avery labels or is this just for specific standardized label printers (the type found in warehouses)? Just curious. Hell, I should just create a store and start playing with all this - though I have almost no interest in selling parts except for getting rid of minifigs & useless pieces...

Have tried printing in several browsers and it's now working in Edge, Chrome, IE and Firefox (OS Win10 64bit). Thanks!

Thermal printing so uses their own labels, but you can get other cheaper labels which work just as well.
Perfect for when you open your store! ;-)

Great, didn't know there was a Dymo update (the programs itself said none was available...). It's finally working now!

What are the criteria for this Print button to show up? I have never seen one.

You can find this in my store / orders / order settings / Order Display section. Here you can select the printer (at this moment only dymo) and paste the template for your label in the available text box.

I don't have a Dymo so I guess that explains that. My experience with Brother printers have been good so far so I got a Brother label printer. Maybe support that can be added some day? Would be very nice to be able to print right from the order page. IF the address would be properly formatted for the country it goes to.
