Uploading color specific images issue

When I go to upload an image, it needs to be against a specific color, not the parent part. When I go to a part that has no images and none for sale (and apparently is in no inventories), there is no color tab to select for a specific color. Help?

    Add it to your wishlist in a certain color, then delete from your wishlist, then refresh. Crappy solution, will think of something one day.

    Possible solution trying to keep it simple.

    How about at the bottom of the colors list, having a box similar to the one that appears when clicking on the wishlist but reworded to:

    Add a color - select a color to add to the list.

    Also possibly renaming the colors list to current colors, and a little note at the top saying if you cannot see the specific color you can add it to the list by clicking add a color.
