Hi
could someone tell me what the "alt" column means when you part out a set

Some pieces have alternates/mold variations, like thin U clip or O clip.
If the inventory has a piece with an alternate they both should have the same number in this column.
When parting out, deselect the alternate that you don't want.

Also some sets have multiple versions of the same part [eg 75099], and listing alternates helps here too.
