I am looking for the following parts to complete my children's sets: Base plate from set 6385 Firehouse - beige two driveways, centre chevron section; 1 x electric cable black from set 6484 2x2plates, 9cm or 14 studs length; 1 window glass 4x3 with sticker from set 6385; 5 x 0.8 brown wheel hubs; 2 x white Technic brick wings. Sorry if there is not enough detail, I am new at this game! Hope someone can help!

Not sure about the rest, perhaps if you mentioned the set(s) they're from.
In addition to Hoddies answer, the exact wire for the set is

15 studs length = 12 cm
There are 2 types of the glass 'with stripes' (5 and 9 stripes) in the set:

I'm unsure about the brown wheel hubs (size wise), but I assume:

Brick 'wings' is a bit unclear to me as well, technics has a lot of 'panels' aka 'fairings' they all do have a seperate number, so a set number with a page they come from would be handy to help you out ;-)
It is handy for yourself to put these items (along with the other things you need) on a whislist, then you can query shops to find out which shop offers most of what you need. From that startingpoint you can start selecting shops to find all the missing parts you're after. Obviously 'yes', in some case you'll need to 'fill' the order with some common stuff to reach 'minimum', reason why it can be handy to build whislist over a longer period (and over several sets) as it will give you more options to find *most* (or preferably *all*) of what you need, but sometimes you'll need to spread purchases over multiple shops...
Good luck finishing those sets !
