Total orders per calendar month

Is it possible to include a figure of the total orders a month/date range within the dashboard stats.

I include a set handling charge within my shipping costs for each order. Therefore, the shipping figures on the dashboard aren't a true reflection of my shipping costs.

If I were to see more quickly how many orders I'd had, I'd be able to work out what was handling and what was shipping for each month.
