It may sound trivial but have not understood,
what is actually request a quote payment method?

It can be used for the following reasons:

- if the buyer's order doesn't fit within any shipping methods that have been pre-defined by the seller, they can check out with 'request a quote'. This also applies to those sellers who have not defined any shipping methods.

- if the buyer has specific shipping requirements and needs a custom shipping quote.

In either case the seller will calculate the cost of shipping, enter this into the system, and the buyer is notified of the cost. At this point the buyer can either continue checkout or abandon/empty/amend the cart and begin again.

Once the buyer accepts the quote, he can then pick from any of the accepted payment methods.
