I have searched but am unable to find if there is a way to hold an order open for a few days to continue adding to it. I thought about making a shipping method like you do in bricklink but am unsure if it would work properly. James
There is not, however customers can keep a cart active for up to 30 days and cross browser sessions. So they can browse and put things in their cart and come back later and add/edit the cart.
However the content of their cart is not reserved. So I advice my buyers that if they really want it to place the order and pay for it. If need be I refund the shipping if they paid twice or they request a quote for the second batch. Order merging (multiple batches) has been requested and I hope James puts it a little higher on his list.
