Help! Transparent Orange Question

Hi everyone
I am currently sorting 1x1 Round plates Trans orange and have noticed that some are lighter while some are darker than others.
Should i list them all the same or a separate lots with a note added?

Have any of you encountered this?
Thanks

  • Maybe some are trans neon orange? If possible try looking at them under a black light, any trans neon orange ones should glow - though some say that not all will.
  • Hi Hoddie, I have some trans neon orange and they are not those.
    There definitely trans orange,three distinct shades.

    I wonder if its a fading over-time issue, or did lego have colour trouble?

    It's definitely LEGO's colour dye quality control. Yellows and pearl gold are pretty bad too.
  • hello I have had similar problems but was unsure how to list so went with some neon and some clear orange best way I have found is when buying a new set compare the colours against the ones in a new set that is the only way I can find a way around it regards brennans bounty
  • Transparent orange is notoriously variable. You can't list something as a colour it isn't, so I have 2 lots, one listed with a note saying 'light', and one standard when I get these variations. They're all trans-orange, look at them under UV light and you'll see trans-neon-orange is different.
  • Found the same problem with the trans red ones.
  • Hi eveyone and thankyou for all your comments.
    I think the way to go is to grade the into separate lots.... 8-}
