Do Buyers Need to Register?

Am I correct in assuming that to place an order on BO buyers need to first register on this site? If so, why is that even necessary? Since BO offers immediate payment upon checkout, one would think that buyers should be able to place an order without registering (just like they can now do on most other retail websites). Just give your shipping details and pay. That's it. Sure, buyers may need to register if they want to give or get feedback or enjoy any of the other perks of this site. But for casual one-time opportunistic buyers who only want to quickly and easily get that birthday or Christmas present for little Johnny, site registration seems not only unnecessary, but a hindrance to such buyers and sales.

    At the moment they do, but they can register during checkout on the first step. I will probably create guest checkout in the distant future but it was skipped for now because of the complexity adds.
