Lego ends support for LDD ... could this affect BO inventories?

Since December it appears that Lego's online inventories are missing most new parts, and I'm wondering if this is something to do with their ending support for the LDD? Perhaps the staff who created the 3D models for LDD were the same staff who rendered the images of new parts for the online inventories. If so, this poses a massive problem for BO going forward. Lawrence has created a measure where new parts are scanned from the online pdf instructions (impressive btw), but the images are tiny as you'd expect, and not the sort of quality that has brought many buyers to BO. If this is a permanent thing then we're going to need more sellers to step up and start providing images of all new parts they come across.

I doubt it, but the only way to know is to wait and see.

I thought it was all populated from the replacement parts pages. While it shouldn't be connected I'm also guessing that the annual shutdown of the parts warehouse may have something to do with the parts not showing.
