Qoute retrieval

Recently I had a customer place an order for 135 lots. He had an issue where the entire cart ordered was lost. He needed to go through the entire process again. He requested a shipping quote where he was quoted 13.00 for priority mail. Once he received his quote he went to the cart and it was emptied. He tried his home computer and his friends computer and was unable to retrieve the quoted order to purchase. In the end he had to research all the parts and reorder and request a new quote. My suggestion is that when I quote is submitted that it be saved somewhere on the site for a period of time to prevent lost of this information.

  • I believe this issue is now fixed. I believe the issue occurred when a user was logged in on multiple computers and created the cart on one, and then tried to access it on another. Previously the carts were only downloaded for the user when they logged in, now they are loaded on every page load.
  • I have had the same problem with a quote for an order of 150+ lots. It says their cart is empty when they click the email link, but the quote still appears in my store settings (#183807) and have sent the quote again but still no joy.
    I have asked them to try again after this fix, but if it still does not work is there any way you can force it back into their cart? I don't think they really want to enter all those lots again and I don't want to lose the order!

    This should sort it, let me know if they still have an issue. I should say, they do need to be logged in, obviously using the same account.
