Cheapest shipping method not automatically selected

For some stores, the cheapest shipping method does not appear to be automatically selected, both when browsing the catalog and when adding parts to the cart. Look at this:

I had noticed this before for another store. I thought it might have been because I once had parts in my cart and the more expensive shipping method was selected, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case here.

This looks like a far more serious issue.

  • That's not a bug, the store has selected the local collection option on those methods
  • Ah I see, thanks Lawrence! I guess I'll drop a message to that store.

This seller had deleted his default "Delivery" page, or I would also have noticed the shipping methods were flagged as "Local collection".

I wish it weren't possible to delete the raw information of the shipping methods offered by a store. Seriously, it's extremely useful for experienced customers. I think some sellers do it without realizing how bothersome it becomes when the information isn't available.
  • Hi @ all,

how can i change this ? I think thats the reason for a low number of orders :(

    regards
    Pierre
  • You can just edit your shipping method to deselect the "local collection" option. It would be a good idea to carefully read over your shipping methods to see if you have ticked any other boxes that you did not intend to. Do you know if there was a reason you selected this checkbox in the first place?

What's the default "Delivery" page of which you speak?
