Allow Sales of Sub Categories

If there is already a way to do this, I apologize and beg that someone will let me know/walk me through it.

Right now, I can put my Brick Owl inventory on sale in five or six large categories (parts, minifigures, sets, etc.)

I would like to be able to put on sale, for example, slopes but not the rest of my parts, or put slopes on one percentage off and plates on a different percentage off.

Under the inventory tab, I can see the sub-categories under parts etc., but as soon as I opt for changing it to a sale amount, it reverts back to only allowing me to see and put on sale the main categories as a single percentage off per main category.

Hope that all makes sense - it would be very useful to me and I am guessing some other sellers to have the sale/discount option be more pinpoint and less paintbrush. :)

Thanks!
Pam

  • Hum indeed, that's weird.

As soon as "Sale amount" is selected, the opened sub-categories close and it's impossible to open them again; only whole categories can be selected. That looks like a bug to me.
  • That's not a bug, the selection of the sub categories is one step, as soon as you change the select box the previous selection is 'saved'. On clicking apply the action you want is applied to that 'selection'. So I guess the fact that you cannot change it afterwards is to prevent errors. I've some sub categories on sale without issue using system.
  • theHellmouth - thanks! I would never in a million years have figured that out on my own, but I just tested with one sub category and it worked perfectly. Much appreciated. :)
  • Nice I though it was not possible either !
