Convert train engine 4560
Hello everyone,
I have the LEGO 4560 set since I was a child. Unfortunately the converter part that connects to the track is broken. Instead of replacing this (in the fear of that it breaks again) I am looking for a way to convert this AC powered train to a RC one. Is this possible by just replacing the engine?

Hi Tim, the engine is exactly the same size between 9V and RC, so no issues there, however you'll need to build in the battery box somehow, can't be done in the engine as it's too small, so the next waggon would need to hold it, so rebuild/redesign required and then the aspect of the train might be ruined (no white or blue battery boxes and a large part of the train is transparant on top) and you'll have a wire running from the engine towards the batterybox, not ideal either...
What exactly is broken? can you post a picture?
I'm both a LEGO train fan (with nearly a full collection of trains between 1977 and 2015) and also an electronician, so I might be able to give some tips to help solve the problem of the broken item.
