I was parting out some 41033 and noticed that there are variations for the stickers. Some have a transparent background but one have a solid colored background (dark grey and tan). Do we create alternate for stickers too in the catalog ?
They clearly have a different number, so they should have a seperate entry in catalog and would need to be added as alternate sheet to the set entry. Can you manage to take the needed steps please? I'm still interested, but would like to see the evolution on availability first.
It's not the first time TLG suddenly changes the appearance of a stickersheet for some reason.
I'm not sure how to submit or handle sticker variants either, or even submit multiple sticker sheets for the same set. For example, the set 70134 has two sticker sheets, but BrickOwl only knows about one of the two.
@Stragus @Overthebrick There are at least half a dozen to a dozen recent sets with seperate sheets for the NA version and international versions of sets. Should be dealt with, I haven't raised it up to Lawrence yet. @Lawrence: can you let us know how to deal with such please, do we use the 'create sticker' function for it, or do you want manual entries that get attached to the sets by making changes in the inventories afterwards?
@Teup Set 9464 is a good example for a set having 'multiple' versions of stickersheets, but those where in catalog due to 'importing' data, you are right that there wasn't a clear call on it on the inventory (and you missed the fact there is also an 'undetermined' version as well in the inventory). I just filed changes so that these 3 different 'entries' are getting an 'alternate' tag in the inventory, so just a matter of approval to get these 'sorted'. What we need to know is how to handle 'sticker' variants in future, these 'variants' are no longer added 'by import', so need to be dealt with in another way (and ASAP IMHO). For some items I know BO doesn't wanaa do the same thing as BL, I can fully understand that way of thinking, but on the other hand it completely messes up things for sellers (particulary the ones using Bricksync) and for the catalog :-(
@Stragus Creating a second sheet (or a first one for that matter) for a set ain't much of a problem... I just checked the set you are referring to and indeed it has 2 distinct sheets, so just a matter of creating it, I just did now btw. On the overview of the Set Entry, you can press the edit button, scroll down and there is a tag 'create sticker sheet', you fill in the form and done, once approved it's created. Afterwards it just needs to get it's BLID and it can be synced, it doesn't need any 'alternate tagging' and the overview of the set will show: Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker -Sticker In Teups example: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-the-vampyre-hearse-set-9464 you can see: Set - Instructions Packaging -Sticker - Sticker - Sticker
Now from my point of view the catalog overview of a set should show this more cleary: in case of the 70134 set it should say: Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1 -Sticker 2 but in case of set 9464 it should say Set - Instructions -Packaging -Sticker 1(A) - Sticker 1(A) - Sticker 1(A) where A stands for alternate. Another example: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-blue-team-transport-set-3406 in this case: Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1(A)-Sticker 2- Sticker 1(A) The complication begins when there are both 2 sheets AND an alternate that regroups both sheets: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-bungalow-set-232 As in that case it would be Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1 -Sticker 2 - Sticker 1+2(A)

Doesn't matter how they are listed or organized on BrickOwl, we can sync as long as the items exist somewhere somehow.
Ah, I was kind of suspecting as much. Good work on fixing that up

In Teups example:

Now from my point of view the catalog overview of a set should show this more cleary: in case of the 70134 set it should say: Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1 -Sticker 2 but in case of set 9464 it should say Set - Instructions -Packaging -Sticker 1(A) - Sticker 1(A) - Sticker 1(A) where A stands for alternate.
Another example:
http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-blue-team-transport-set-3406
in this case: Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1(A)-Sticker 2- Sticker 1(A)
The complication begins when there are both 2 sheets AND an alternate that regroups both sheets:

As in that case it would be Set - Instructions - Packaging - Sticker 1 -Sticker 2 - Sticker 1+2(A)
@Lawrence: can you think of something that could make it more obvious based on the examples above and how we need to deal with sheets that have been splitted in the mean while on BL, while BO holds both versions in one entry, example:
