When going to my own store -> Keep in touch -> contact us I get an access denied page ...

You are not authorized to access this page.

Is this because I'm looking at my own store or is it a setting I have to enable somewhere?

The message is not very helpful, but it is because you are trying to message yourself.

OK suggestion: improve the message or hide the contact us link alltogether when browsing your own shop.
