Hi. Quick question: I want to set up 2 shipping options, one for small package and one for large package. My mailprovider allows the small to be 320 mm x 230 mm x 20 mm. The big can be 320 mm x 230 mm x 70 mm. I set up these to shipping methods, for Europe, yesterday. A client ordered an item today that was 98 mm x 45 mm x 8 mm. Way inside the "small package" measures. Still the "large package"-shipping cost was applied. What may I have done wrong?

And I see it now...its says HEIGHT 98 mm, meaning it oversteps the hight of 20 mm I have put.....but it is possible to ship lying down.....
Note that it's possible that the customer voluntarily selected the more costly shipping method. I have seen customers do it for reasons related to tracking and/or shipping time.
as Stragus mentioned, BO rotates items when a buyer checks out, whatever limit you set and the BO item is measured in another direction, it will be rotated to fit your settings (if it fits 3 sizes offcourse). So if the item was 98x18x30 or 18x98x30 or 30x18x98 or 30x98x18, it would still have fitted your presetted method 320x230x20. Only if the 3 sides where larger then 20 it would have taken it to the next setup.
As stragus said, maybe the buyer just selected the second method.
You can simulate it yourself, by adding that part into your own cart and checkout (in worst case list one again at a very high price, do your test, remove it again), you will see exactly what your buyer saw, you can even select country of your buyer by doing this to make sure you didn't make a fluke, if you made settings for different regions.

My description for Light Packet clearly says that the method has a maximum thickness of 20mm. Some customers assume it would be impossible to pack their order under 20mm and select the more expensive shipping method on their own. I just refund the difference in such cases.
