part variation - how to

for the inventories of those 518 sets I need the pat pend variations of 2x4 plates 3020. How do I put those? And is it enough if I put in the description, that they may also come in CA (it was the switchover time, and although most of them had ABS plates, there were also sets with CA plates for some years - could just be both of them).

You are welcome to put it in the description, I don't yet know how to handle pat pend stuff in the catalog

and one of the sets (green plates, US/Canada) ONLY came with CA plates and not with ABS plates. Do I need a new entry of the plates for them, as description of part 3020 says ABS?
