Cart messages for items that are no longer available

When one leaves an open cart and returns days/weeks/months later, one (typically) gets a message box about some items no longer being available, followed by the list of such items.

If one updates the quantities as required and click on "Update Shopping Cart", the same list of items still appears on top. Yet, the messages disappear when one reloads the page or performs any other change. Apparently, the list of items no longer being available is generated before the cart's content is adjusted, instead of producing a list for the newly modified cart.

Also, when opening an old cart, it doesn't immediately jump to one's eyes what lots require quantity adjustments... Besides the [ X ] of N, I think some kind of icon like image would greatly help to locate the quantities to adjust.
