Unread messages should always get a number

Please make it so that all messages that are sent to you through the Brick Owl messaging system get a number on the front page.
As far as I can tell if the sender selects no response needed, the receiver gets no notification that they have a new email.
It is much easier for me to catch all messages going through Brick Owl on the actual site. It is too easy to miss them in my email.

Another note on this. Since I have noticed that all messages do not get a number, it has caused me to start sending all messages as response needed. I don't want to obligate my buyer's to respond if I don't need a response. But I DO want to make certain that they see and read the message.
