How to open my store?

I don't think it's a silly question!
Apologies if so.
I have uploaded my inventory from "the other place" - now I want to just place some of my stock for sale.

If I open my shop then everything will appear "for sale" - I'm not ready for that.

So say for example I would like to put sets up as available only, how do I move everything else to stockroom before I open for business?

I would like to begin selling (fully) in about a week, after I have all my ansewers to shipping and tax stuff! --so maybe I'll just wait till I'm really fully ready

You could use the mass update on the inventory screen, select the non set categories and mark them as not for sale.
