Can anyone explain the "cost breakdown" in "view inventory"?

as an example From LEGO Container truck Set 42024 Inventory website displays :-

The current cost of the parts in new condition is US $189.83
and the cost of the parts in used condition is US $147.98 (97% of items).
In the past, in new condition, the parts have sold for US $169.82
and for US $113.89 in used condition (96% of items).

Don't know why but it occurred to me something "aint quite right" - I added up the prices displayed and got a total of $86.23

My question(s) what are all of those $ values based on and/or how are they calculated? and why is the value of $86.23 so much lower!!

From the "other place" there was a part-out value of parts based on my inventory prices.

I have made some terrible purchases that I only caught when parting out - to find the value was little more than the set cost!

Thanks

  • The prices displayed on the individual items are the minimum price you can purchase that item, the values used in that piece of description text are average values.

  • OK - those figures have little use in parting out sets - could you add "value of parts in my inventory"? - "My" being the user viewing the page.

    Thanks
