NPB's

What's with all these non paying buyers? I've been around here for little over a month and I already have had 4 of them. On the other side haven't had a single one in over a year.. Am I just having bad luck, is it some sort of phase, or what? :O

  • This site is geared toward one stop shopping-order/payment all in one. I haven't had a single NPB here while over 6 on the other site over the course of the year.
  • @Teup You need to use PayPal for business accounts, instead of PayPal for personal accounts. There is a explanation here http://www.brickowl.com/mystore/settings/payment_methods

Oh I see, added that now, thanks! I was already receiving immediate payments and the site already automatically marked orders as paid, so I had assumed that I was already using this automatic check out.

Hmm, strange, but I don't think that has something to do with the auto check out. I guess it just flucuates a great deal. I prefer bank transfers to third parties like PayPal, most of my orders are paid for by bank both here and on the other site and still I'm getting this difference. It seems that there isn't necessarily a correlation between different way of paying and NPBs. Maybe there are more unexperienced buyers here, or maybe the crowd I'm getting are unexperienced buyers, or... ah, statistics.. endless possibilities, it could be anything.. :)

But true, of course: the order+payment in one is of course a neat way to solve this problem. Still, I'm just wondering why it could be so different. Same with feedback, I hardly get any feedback here.

Both are things that aren't really bothering me a lot, it's all part of the job :) It just makes me curious what is causing these differences.. as for payment, it could be that the other site is warning and urging buyers to pay a good deal. Maybe that's keeping the NPB amounts lower (should my experience be representative)
  • For some reason, I have had a few non-paying buyers in the past month too, unusually so. They even go as far as manually marking the order as "Payment submitted" (I just had one of those yesterday, again).

I think some people may be placing orders everywhere, trying to get any seller to send a package without paying for it. After all, it has worked once, based on someone's post a few weeks ago in the forum.
  • There have been some Paypal issues as well so don't immediately pin the buyers... yet. :-)

Exactly! I think two or three of the ones I had did that too. Weird, well, good to hear it's unusual in your experience, guess that's good news :)
  • Thanks just added it
