Excluding items on discount mass change

Is there a way to mark certain items so that their price is NOT changed by the mass change feature? For example, if I wanted to set parts (or a subset), to 10% discount on the price, there may be a few obscure items in that group that I would never want to be discounted. My first guess is to use the Personal Note field with something like "HOLD" and then exclude that in the mass change, BUT I am hoping that there is an easier way that I have overlooked.

    Don't think there is a way besides a personal tagging. However, it would be an awesome feature if we could put a tag (checkbox for example) on a item when listing, that excludes it from being discounted when using 'mass' discount. It would be great if Admin would put such on his 'to do' list :)

    I don't know about that, it seems a feature of very narrow use... although it may reflect a need to be able to split an inventory into active "groups" of some kind. Such advanced inventory manipulations may be more appropriate for external software, eventually.
