Technic figure parts

With all due respect to Dan Jezek, could we add the rest of the parts for the Technic figures on here? It's not much but that would give a small edge. I would if I had the parts. Maybe someone who has them could consider doing so.

Cheers,

Brian

  • And also Fabuland figure parts, please.
  • Could you clarify what the component parts will be? I did used to have some technic figures but I sold them.

As long as there are real separate Lego pieces, they should be added to the catalogue. The only thing I don't like is pieces that can only be separated by force or by damaging the item. Like for example if you wanted to sell the magnet from inside a magnet brick.
  • here for Fabuland figs:
head: can easily be taken off (has a slotted towball that goes into a hole in the torse
arm with hand: left=right, comes off as easily as for normal minifigs (same system)
legs: left=right, a bit more difficult to take off, but can be done without damaging any part (a little bar goes through legs and torso, this bar can be pushed out by using another one)

  • Okay, and now a question I'm sure you will say no to, do they have any design ID or would something have to be made up?

Head, I don't think the hair comes off

    Torso

Shoulder part --> forearm part ---> hand

I don't think the hips come off

Upper leg part ---> lower leg part ---> foot

Foot is Part 2706, did you already start or was this existing in this catalog?

  • 2706 was in the BL catalog. Apparently Dan@BL had some bias against these figures' components being listed separately even though they have their own part number. The foot slipped through before the Catmins started enforcing the policy. IIRC everything is held together by the smaller ball joints, same as used for trailer hitches.

We might even find that the component parts are useful for MOCing. :)

  • Well, I suppose a simple rule for the catalog. If it has a design ID, I don't care what it is, submit it :)

They are quite small ball on one side joints at shoulders and elbows, looks like they may be an assembly themselves if you try. Sort of like the assembly you can make with 41680 disregarding the lift arm section and the pin being a little knob. I don't think any would interchange with a hitch, have not confirmed.

Knees and feet are different, more like the old arm sections, may have tiny separate bushing thingies, two per joint. Not sure they would come out without damage.

  • as to Fabuland figure parts: I don't think that they have a design ID (sets started 1979 and were discontinued end of 80s).

I had a look at one of the figs I have:
    http://brickowl.com/catalog/lego-technic-figure-cyber-person-black-legs-mechanical-arms-yellow-head-cyborg-eyepiece-minifigure
and I agree with walstib. The hair and head seem to be attached and I am afraid they would break when trying to separate them. The hips and torso are also attached and I have not figured out how to separate them.

The four arm sections (upper and lower arms on left and right) seem to be identical and these can be separated from each other and the body fairly easily. The hands can also be removed. Each arm section consists of three pieces and these can be separated easily.

The left and right upper leg parts are different but the lower leg parts seem to be identical. Of all these pieces I only see numbers on the feet (2706) and the lower leg parts (seems to be 2704).

Looking again I agree what I called two parts on the arm (shoulder/forearm) are the same and interchangeable. 4 per fig.
